Eligibility Criteria - of Assam Police Safai Karamchari Recruitment 2023
a) Nationality - Candidates should be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates will need to provide proof of residence after the final select list is published. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC categories are not required to submit these certificates.
b) Candidates must enroll their names with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
c) Candidates must be fluent in Assamese or any other language spoken within the state.
AGE LIMIT
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2023. (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2005 and on or after 01-01-1983).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:-
(i) By 3 Years for OBC Candidates.
(ii) By 5 Years for ST Candidates.
(iii) By 5 Years for SC Candidates.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Minimum Class VI passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other diploma qualification required : Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks. or Minimum 01 (one) year work experience Certificate from registered NGO/Municipality Board / Govt. Departments will carry 5 marks. Registered NGOs registration Number must be reflected in the Certificate.

Trade Proficiency Test
The candidates will need to take the PST (Physical Standard Test) after their documents have been verified. This test will not be graded. Modern technology will be used to measure the candidates' height, weight, and chest. Additionally, a Medical Officer will conduct preliminary examinations for conditions such as Knocked Knee, Vision Test, Colour Blindness Test, Flatfoot, Varicose Vein, and Physical Deformities. Once the PST is successfully cleared, the candidate will proceed to the next Trade Efficiency Test in their chosen field.
