Eligibility Criteria - of Assam Commando Battalion Recruitment 2023
a) Nationality - Candidates should be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates will need to provide proof of residence after the final select list is published. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC categories are not required to submit these certificates.
b) Candidates must enroll their names with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
c) Candidates must be fluent in Assamese or any other language spoken within the state.
AGE LIMIT
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 21 years of age as on 01/01/2023. (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2005 and on or after 01-01-2002).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:-
(i) By 3 Years for OBC Candidates.
(ii) By 5 Years for ST Candidates.
(iii) By 5 Years for SC Candidates.
(iv) By 3 Years Relaxation National & International Sports Person.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Physical Standard Test (PST)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Candidates who clear PST, will be required to undergo PET. The PET consists of the following:
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 80 marks (for Male) / 60 marks (for Female). It will have FOUR events for Male and THREE events for Female.
(i) MALE CANDIDATES
4.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 4.8 km race to be completed within 20 minutes.
Long Jump: Minimum 365 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Chin Up:-10 times is for qualifying.
100 meter Race. To be completed within 15 seconds.
(i) Running Race:
b) Long Jump: For less than 365 cm no marks will be awarded. A valid jump of 365 cm is the minimum qualifying level
(c) Chin Up for Male Candidates
(ii) FEMALE CANDIDATES
a) 2.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 2.8 km. race to be completed within 19 minutes.
b) Long Jump: Minimum 265 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
c) 100 meter Race. The race to be completed within 18 seconds.

Psychometric Test: Maximum 20 marks
The number of Candidates to be called for the Psychometric Test will be at the rate of 2 times Number of vacancies shown at Para I above, on merit based on total marks scored in Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Written Test converting into percentage. If there are Candidates scoring the same marks as the last Candidate selected for Psychometric Test by the 2 times formula in a particular case, the Candidates scoring the same marks will also be called for the Psychometric Test , and therefore, the number may exceed the 2 times to that extent for that particular case and category only. An eminent panel of experts will be constituted preferably from Assam Police, CAPF and Army who have experiences in raising Special
Forces and draw up a methodology on the following:
(i) Mental framework to carry out hard work.
(ii) Adaptability of jungle/ hilly terrain/ ecology.
(iii) Aptitude/ Attitude measurement.
