Along with the CBT result, the board has also published the PET shortlist, scorecard link, and zone-wise cut-off marks for the recruitment of 32,438 Level-1 (Group D) posts across Indian Railways.

RRB Group D Result 2026
The Railway Recruitment Boards successfully conducted the Computer Based Test (CBT) for CEN 08/2024 between 27 November 2025 and 10 February 2026 to recruit 32,438 candidates for various Level-1 posts in Indian Railways.
More than 1.08 crore candidates submitted their applications, while nearly 60 lakh aspirants appeared for the examination held at multiple centres across the country. The CBT consisted of 100 objective-type questions to be completed in 90 minutes. Candidates received 1 mark for every correct answer, while 1/3 mark was deducted for each incorrect response.
On 1st July 2026, RRB announced the CBT result on the official websites of all regional Railway Recruitment Boards. The released result contains the provisional list of candidates shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates have been shortlisted up to three times the category-wise vacancies of each Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), excluding eligible PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and CCAA candidates already adjusted against their respective categories.
Candidates should note that this is not the final selection list. It only confirms qualification in the CBT stage. Final selection will be based on successful completion of PET, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
The declaration of the result was delayed due to a pending matter before the Telangana High Court regarding the weightage of Act Apprentice marks in the final merit list. Following the disposal of the case, RRB released the CBT result while keeping 15 vacancies reserved until the final outcome of the litigation.
The individual scorecard containing raw marks, normalized marks, percentile, and qualifying status became available from 6:00 PM on 1 July 2026 and can be downloaded until 16 July 2026 (11:55 PM).

What After RRB Group D CBT Result?
Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the CBT result PDF will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
The PET is qualifying in nature, and no additional marks are awarded for it. The PET, Document Verification, and Medical Examination are conducted by the respective Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) instead of the Railway Recruitment Boards.
For example, candidates belonging to the Northeast Frontier Railway will receive PET-related notifications from RRC Guwahati.
According to earlier RRB notifications, the PET is expected to be held in August 2026. Candidates belonging to the PwBD category are exempted from PET and will directly appear for Document Verification and Medical Examination.

PwBD candidates may receive relaxation of up to 2% in qualifying marks if sufficient candidates are unavailable against reserved vacancies.
Since the CBT was conducted in multiple shifts, RRB prepared the merit list using normalized scores instead of raw marks.

Candidates can follow these simple steps to download their result and scorecard:
- Visit the official website of your respective Railway Recruitment Board.
- Open the notification titled "CEN 08/2024 CBT Result & Shortlisted Candidates for PET."
- Download the Result PDF.
- Press Ctrl + F and search your Roll Number.
- If your roll number appears, you have qualified for the PET stage.
- Click on the Scorecard Login link.
- Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY).
- Download and save your scorecard for future reference.
The scorecard contains important details including candidate name, registration number, roll number, category, section-wise marks, normalized marks, percentile, qualifying status, and RRB region.
