Eligibility Criteria - of ESIC Recruitment 2024
AGE LIMIT
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on 1st January 2024.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:-
(i) By 3 Years for OBC Candidates.(18 to 33)
(ii) By 5 Years for ST Candidates. (18 to 35)
(iii) By 5 Years for SC Candidates. (18 to 35)
(iv) By 10 Years for PWD Candidates. (18 to 40)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
(A)
- (i) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a recognised University of Institute; or Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute; and
- (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Mid-wife) with State Nursing council.
OR
- (i) Diploma in General Nursing Mid-Wifery from a recognised Board of Council; and
- (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Midwife) with State Nursing Council
- (iii) One year experience in minimum fifty bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification at
- (B) (i) above.

Selection Process of ESIC Recruitment
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct a pen & paper based Recruitment Test (RT) to short-list the candidates for recruitment to the post of Nursing Officer.
Date of test: 7th July 2024
Duration of test: The test will be of two hours duration
Medium of test: The medium of the test will be English.
Centres of test in Assam: Dispur and Jorhat
Type of question: Object type MCQ
Negative marking: Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.
