1. Name of the Post : Postman

Division / Unit Wise Vacancy:
# Dharmanagar: 1
# Manipur: 2
# Meghalaya: 1
Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2021 (Candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1994 and not later than 01.01.2003) Upper age is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST Is.
Educational Qualification: 12th class pass from a recognized board,
Knowledge of Local Language: Candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard as applicable for the posts in the respective states:
# Dharmanagar Division: Bengali
# Manipur Division: Manipuri
# Meghalaya Division: English/Hindi
# Candidates have to produce Basic Computer Training Certificate from a recognized Computer Training Institute before issue of appointment letter.
# A person appointed to the post of Postman shall obtain a driving license to drive two wheeler or three wheeler or light motor vehicle within a period of two years from the date of his appointment.

Sports Qualification:
Candidates having the following qualifications will be considered as meritorious for the purpose of recruitment under sports quota:
# Sportspersons who have represented a State or a country in a national or international competition in any of the sports/sports listed in Annexure-3 to this notification.
# Players who have represented their University in Inter-University tournaments organized by Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the sports/sports listed in Annexure-3 to the Official Notification.
# Sportspersons who have represented State School Teams in the National Sports/Sports for Schools run by All India School Sports Federation in any of the sports/sports listed in Annexure-3 of the Official Notification.
# Under the National Physical Efficiency Campaign, the players who have been awarded the National Award in Physical Efficiency.
Application Fee: Candidate has to deposit Rs. 100 (One hundred only) through e-payment in any computerized post office in India using challan form provided with this notification for "Postal Assistant, Postman and MTS (erstwhile Group 'D') Cadre Direct recruitment of meritorious sports persons specified. Sports quota in Northeast Postal Circle”
