Assam Veterinary Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for the post of Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) or an equivalent post through an OMR-based Written Examination.
The examination will be conducted for 120 minutes and will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper will cover the following subjects:

Mandatory One-Year Training
Candidates selected for the post will be required to undergo one year of mandatory training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
The training will be conducted at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Assam, Ghungoor, Silchar, or at its extended campuses under the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam.
Candidates must successfully complete and pass the mandatory training before they can be formally appointed to the post of Veterinary Field Assistant or an equivalent post.
