SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026
State Bank of India has officially released an employment notification for the recruitment of 7150 Apprentice Posts across different states and union territories of India under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for these apprentice vacancies through the official SBI recruitment portal.
Online application process has already started from 19th May 2026 and the last date to submit the online application form is 8th June 2026. Candidates who have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to apply for these posts.
As per the official notification, the online written examination for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is expected to be held in July 2026. Candidates selected for apprenticeship training will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 during the one-year training period.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institution as on 1st April 2026.
Candidates who completed graduation after 1st April 2026 will not be eligible to apply for this recruitment process.
Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years and the maximum age should be 28 years as on 1st April 2026.
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd April 1998 and not later than 1st April 2006.
Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government rules.
Local Language Requirement
Candidates applying for Assam must be proficient in any one of the following local languages:
- Assamese
- Bengali
- Bodo
Applicants have to select their preferred local language during the online application process. Candidates who have studied the selected local language in Class 10 or Class 12 may be exempted from the local language test.

SBI Apprentice Selection Process
Selection of candidates for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be done through the following stages:
- Online Written Examination
- Local Language Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Final engagement of apprentices will be subject to fulfilling all eligibility conditions prescribed by the bank.
SBI Apprentice Exam Pattern
The online examination will consist of objective-type multiple choice questions. Total duration of the examination will be 60 minutes.

No request for change of examination centre will be entertained after final submission of the application form.

- Enter basic personal details and generate login credentials.
- Log in using registration number and password.
- Fill in personal, educational and apprenticeship details carefully.
- Upload photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration.
- Pay the application fee through online mode.
- Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
