The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of Assam for admission into Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses offered by engineering colleges across the state.
The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has officially released the CEE 2026 notification on 7 March 2026 for admission into B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2026–2027. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the 10+2 examination with required subjects can apply online for the Assam CEE 2026 through the official portal.

Assam CEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions for admission to B.Tech courses through Assam CEE.
- Indian citizens, and
- Permanent residents of Assam with a valid PRC issued by the competent authority.
Central Government Employee Quota
Candidates applying under the Central Government Employee Quota must submit valid proof of permanent residency issued by the concerned authority outside Assam.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must pass the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination in a single sitting without grace marks and must individually pass both theory and practical examinations in the required subjects.

Minimum qualifying marks:
- 45% marks for General category
- 40% marks for Reserved category
Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from State Council for Technical Education, Assam with:
- 45% marks (General)
- 40% marks (Reserved category)
are also eligible.
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 17 years at the time of registration
- Maximum age: No upper age limit
Character Certificate
Candidates must possess good moral character and submit a certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
Medical Fitness
Applicants must be physically and mentally fit and submit a medical certificate issued by a registered medical officer or practitioner.
Assam CEE 2026 Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹1350 (based on the previous notification). The official fee for CEE 2026 will be updated soon.

Step-3: A new registration page will open.
