The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has completed the online application process for the recruitment of 5550 Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools across the state.

These vacancies include:
- Assistant Teacher (LP) in Lower Primary Schools
- Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher, and Hindi Teacher (UP) in Upper Primary Schools
Candidates who applied online and took part in the document verification process can now check their names in the 1st Provisional Merit List of DEE Assam, which will be available from midnight of 10th September 2025.

Apart from the official DEE notification, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Cabinet Minister for Higher Education, School Education & Tribal Affairs, Government of Assam, has also confirmed the release of the Assam TET Merit List through a public tweet.

Candidates will find the following details on the merit list and must verify their accuracy:
- Name of District
- Category
- Application Number
- Gender
- Percentage of marks in HSSLC, TET & other exams
- Medium of instruction
- Total marks obtained

- Click on the DEE Merit List 2025 link.
- A new tab will open with the official DEE portal.
- Select your respective district and choose LP or UP section.
- The merit list will be displayed on the screen.

Important Instructions on DEE Assam LP UP Merit List 2025
- The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam has issued the following guidelines:
- The list is provisional, prepared based on information submitted by candidates during online application and document verification.
- Any discrepancy or mismatch in documents may result in cancellation of candidature.
- Inclusion of a candidate’s name in the Provisional Merit List does not guarantee appointment.
- Appointment letters will be issued only to candidates whose names appear in the Final Select List.
- All documents will undergo back-office verification by competent authorities. Any negative report will lead to cancellation/termination.
- This provisional list will be automatically cancelled once the next provisional or final list is published.
- For genuine grievances, candidates must personally visit the DEE office with supporting documents.
