Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Age Relaxation:
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
- PwD Candidates: 10 years
Small Family Norms:
Candidates with more than two living children born on or after 01/01/2021 are not eligible, as per the Government's policy.
Language Instruction Requirement:
The Language-I or Language-II subject in ATET/CTET/BTC TET must match the medium of instruction of the school the candidate is applying to.
Required Educational Qualifications
Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary):
- Higher Secondary (HS)/Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
- Must have qualified Assam TET / BTC TET / CTET for Lower Primary
Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary):
- HS/Senior Secondary and Graduate from a recognized UGC university
- 2-year D.El.Ed. OR Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) OR Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Must have qualified Assam TET / BTC TET / CTET for Upper Primary
Science Teacher (UP):
- HS/Senior Secondary and B.Sc. from a UGC-recognized university
- D.El.Ed. OR B.Ed. OR B.El.Ed.
- Must have qualified Assam TET / CTET for Upper Primary
Hindi Teacher (UP):
- HS/Senior Secondary and Graduation with Hindi as one subject
- D.El.Ed. OR B.Ed. OR B.El.Ed.
- Must have qualified Assam TET / CTET for Upper Primary
