The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) earlier announced the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 for the recruitment of 289 posts across various Group A services in Assam. The CCE Preliminary Exam was conducted on 8th June 2025, and the results were declared on 17th July 2025.
APSC now invites online applications from candidates who qualified in the prelims to appear in the CCE Main Exam 2024, scheduled from 11th to 13th October 2025.

- Nationality: Indian citizen
- Domicile: Permanent resident of Assam
- Language: Must know Assamese or another official/tribal language of the state
- Employment Exchange: Registration in any District Employment Office in Assam
- Family Norms: Declaration of small family norm in Form-A is mandatory

Selection Process
The APSC CCE is conducted in two stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Papers: General Studies I & II
- Marks: 200 each (Total: 400)
- Duration: 2 hours per paper
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer
- Exam Centres: Across 35+ towns including Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, etc.
2. Main Examination (Written + Interview)
I. Written Exam
- Papers: 6
- Marks: 250 each (Total: 1500)
- Duration: 3 hours per paper
- Language Medium: English or Assamese
- Venue: Guwahati
II. Interview / Personality Test
- Marks: 180
- Venue: Guwahati
- Shortlisting: 1:3 ratio based on Mains Written marks
Final Selection is based on combined scores from the Mains Written and Interview.
