Home & Political Department Recruitment 2024 - Vacancy Details
1. Name of Post: Public Prosecutor
No. of Post: 26 Posts
Pay Scale: Rs. 65000-112000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 18500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 8 (eight) years, basically on the criminal side.
2. Name of Post: Additional Public Prosecutor
No. of Post: 88 Posts
Pay Scale: Rs. 30000-110000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 17500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years, basically on the criminal side.
3. Name of Post: Assistant Public Prosecutor
No. of Post: 185 Posts
Pay: Rs. 30,000 - 1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 16900 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court for a period of not less than 3 (three) years, basically on the criminal side.
Eligibility Criteria - of Home & Political Department Recruitment 2024
AGE LIMIT
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 45 years of age as on 01/01/2024.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:-
(i) By 3 Years for OBC Candidates.(18 to 48)
(ii) By 5 Years for ST Candidates. (18 to 50)
(iii) By 5 Years for SC Candidates. (18 to 50)
(iv) By 10 Years for PWD Candidates. (18 to 55)
CITIZENSHIP
The Candidates must be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
