Pay Scale : Rs.14,000/- to Rs.60,500 Including Grade Pay of Rs.8,700 Per Month and Other Allowance as Admissible under the rules.

Eligibility Criteria Assam High school Teacher Recruitment 2023
Nationality : Candidates must be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
Age Limit :
The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2022.
Age Relaxation:The upper age limit is relaxable :
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. Up to 45 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 43 years
(iii) by 2 Years for Ex-servicemen Candidates i.e up to 42 Years.
(iv) For Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidate.
Educational Qualification :
Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science)
# For the post of Graduate Teacher (Arts), the candidate must possess Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) from a recognized University and Bachelor of Arts/ Commerce or Post Graduation in Arts/ Commerce with at least 50% marks in graduation. Education (B.Ed.) from Institute(s) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
# For the post of Graduate Teacher (Science), the candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science or Post Graduate in Science including Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized Institute ( s).
# In respect of Secondary TET the candidate must have secured 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) and PWD category.
Graduate Teacher (Hindi)
# Praveen/Ratna with 50% marks in Hindi and Degree qualification with 50% marks OR Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks from any recognized University OR BA with 50% marks and Hindi with 50% marks Post Graduate in Arts with 50% marks in Hindi as one of the subject or provided he/she has passed BA with Hindi as one of the subjects with 50% marks in Hindi.
# B.T./B.Ed. Degree from any recognized University (Proficient will be treated as B.Ed. degree).
# In respect of Secondary TET the candidate must have secured 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) and PWD category.
Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit)
# Shastri with 50% marks and Degree qualification with 50% marks OR Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks from any recognized University OR BA with 50% marks and 50% marks in one subject OR Post Bachelor Degree in Arts with 50% Marks in Sanskrit as Sanskrit.
# B.T. / Bed. Degree from any recognized University.
# In respect of Secondary TET the candidate must have secured 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) and PWD category.
Off-Campus Degree: Pursuant to Govt. Office Memorandum No. ASE.238/2014/213, Dated. 22.11.2019, Institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but a study center in the State and if such study centers are not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degree/certificate issued by such off campus institutions shall not be considered valid . For the purpose of employment under the Education Department. However, a degree/diploma awarded by distance education under KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University will be considered valid for the purpose of employment.
Medium of Instruction:
(i) In case of Assamese Medium School, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Assamese language as one of the subjects or possess Diploma in Assamese language issued by Axom Sahitya Sabha or must have studied up to HSLC level in Assamese medium school .
(ii) In case of Bengali Medium School, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bengali language as one of the subjects OR Diploma in Bengali language issued by Barak Upalayat Bangya Sahitya o Sanskriti Sammelan or must have studied up to HSLC level . Bengali Medium School.
(iii) In case of Hindi medium school, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Hindi language as one of the subjects or must have studied up to HSLC level in a Hindi medium school.
(iv) In case of Bodo Medium School, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bodo language as one of the subjects or must have studied up to HSLC level in a Bodo Medium School.
(v) In case of English Medium School, the candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with English as an optional subject or must have studied in an English Medium School from class XI onwards.
