Basic Information :- Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has Released a Notification for The Recruitment of Male / Female Constable General Duty (GD) Vacancy. Interested and Eligible Candidates Can Read the Full Notification Before Apply Online.
The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ministry of Home Affairs and the Staff Selection Commission. The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification. Vacancies: The details of vacancies are as follows:
Age-Limit SSC-GD Recruitment 2021:
18-23 years as on 01.08.2021. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.
Upper Age Relaxation:
The upper age limit is relaxable as given below -
1. Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for the trades reserved for them. Ex-servicemen 3 Years
2. Upper age is relaxed by 10 years to PWD candidates in the specified disabilities only as mentioned below (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer PWD Candidates).
Nationality/ Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.

SSC Constable (GD) Syllabus 2021 :
The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:
A. General Intelligence & Reasoning :- Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory,
discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
B. General Knowledge and General Awareness:
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
C. Elementary Mathematics:
This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc. C.
D. English/ Hindi:
Candidates' ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic
comprehension would be tested. The questions in all the above components will be of Matriculation level.
